Sanjay Dutt is a jerk for exploiting so many girls, he treated them like shit and thought everything as a timepass, I am not some crazy feminist but if I have a daughter in the future then I would want her to be far away from people like Sanjay Dutt. Sunil Dutt was the opposite of Sanjay Dutt, at least Sunil Dutt learned from his mistakes and realised when he was going through a bad phase and he became such a nice and humble person, I guess that's why still people respect Sunil Dutt so much. And that’s where the caveat for everyone intending to see this movie should lie: Sanju is not any sort of empirical truth about the life of Sanjay Dutt, but very much Sanjay Dutt’s colored side of the story, made by a film industry sympathetic to him, and with similar biases of being misrepresented by the media though not for charges nearly so egregious. I lost 3 of my friends cause of drunk driving, they were not even drunk, the driver was drunk and the driver survived with hardly any injuries but my friends lost their life. Just cause you won't repeat your old mistakes does not means you can start doing new mistakes again and again.
Sadly people like Sanjay Dutt don't change, he is an amazing actor no doubt about that, but they just don't learn from their mistakes, yeah now he is not sleeping with 300 girls or still keeping guns, but even after having going through so much shit, there was a video a few years ago where he was heavily drunk and sat in the drivers seat to drive the car. As he recounts the drug-laced, alcohol-soaked, crime-tainted chapters of his past to Winnie, Sanju plays out like a highlight reel of his mistakes, but in a way that places the blame.
